URGENT APPEAL FOR CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
The COVID-19 outbreak has now been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.
UNHCR is committed to preventing and responding to this international health emergency affecting over 100 countries.
Our primary goal is to ensure that refugees and internally displaced families are included in the national COVID-19 monitoring, preparedness, and response activities. UNHCR's preparedness measures will protect forcibly displaced families and their host communities before, during, and after this global health emergency.
But we cannot do this alone.
Due to the fast-changing nature of this crisis, we may need to supplement national responses at short notice, including infection prevention and control, coordination, planning and monitoring.
Php 10,000 supports one month’s work of health education – reaching out to communities and raising awareness on various health and nutrition issues.
Php 5,000 can support the construction of one tube well to provide clean water to refugees and internally displaced families in low-resource settings.
Php 3,000 provides a one-day refresher training on child health, adolescent health, hygiene, and nutrition for at least 3 vulnerable internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Php 2,000 supports soap distribution to 20 refugee households in low-resource settings.
