COVID-19 places 79.5 million forcibly displaced individuals around the world at heightened risk. Within our own borders, the 350,000 who are currently displaced across Mindanao due to conflict and natural disasters are now at their most vulnerable.
80% of the forcibly displaced live in areas with weaker health, water and sanitation systems. Many live in densely populated transitory sites, camps, or poorer urban areas. They need our urgent help today, and we can't do it without your support.
With your help, UNHCR can step up health, water, sanitation and hygiene services to protect refugees and displaced people. We are working with governments, which lead the coronavirus response, to ensure that people forced to flee are included in preparation and response plans.
